Speak your mind, but don't spoil it for the rest of the readers.

Can you envision a sequel? Hmmmm.

Did you see the program on the Little Ice Age? It was Sunday night and pretty cool. (ha ha) Some of the scientists attributed the lower temperatures (5 degrees on average) of the five hundred year period ending in the mid-nineteenth century to the melting of the glaciers in the northern Atlantic. Let's see. . . global warming causes glaciers to melt. . .glaciers melting causes cooler temperatures. . . maybe it isn't the crickets after all! Of course toward the end when the scientists were making their predictions, one of them said that humans were causing global warming.

How about you Ugly American readers. What are your thoughts on the books??

Oops. I meant ***** Ugly American ***** readers, not ugly readers. Sorry guys. I guess I went a little italic crazy.

The book was better than I expected and interesting because it was written before full-scale deployment of US troops to Vietnam.

On to Angela's Ashes.

Thank you for your discreet responses. I am glad that you enjoyed most of the book and that you shared your impressions.

Food for thought: How would YOU have written the ending?

What events would you write in a sequel?

When the relatives ask you what you think about global warming, what will you say?

If you felt compelled to write a response to a newspaper editorial which had taken the opposite of your position, what would you say?

Keep those comments coming in!

I hope that you all have a happy Thanksgiving.
